Somewhere in the world,
The moon is kissing the sea
Somewhere in a parallel universe
There is someone loving me.
It is far from likely that
There isn’t an exploding star
Falling apart so something new
Has the opportunity to fall together.
In this, theoretically, infinite universe
There must be answers to my questions
And many forms of strange, bizarre beauty
And other smiles to melt this heart within me.
There are dancers who live in my dreams
And the deeper sides of reality that go unseen
There is a kiss out there that triggers transformation
This one kiss has powers beyond the imagination.
In a brilliant beautiful world with a bright white sun
Someone like me might also wonder where she belongs
She might also wonder if I think about her oftentimes
And in a strange, lyrical language she writes rhymes.
Somewhere, wild roses grow like weeds, undisturbed
Part of the same system as honey bees and birds.
A primitive heart is beginning to pump, and
Life, itself, flutters into the picture.
In response to those who want to feel special,
To those turning to religion to explain the world,
You need not look any father than to the infinite sky,
Or the ground beneath your feet, for a real reason why.
You are a product of millions of years of changes
And you get to witness this spotlight in all of time.
Everything that makes you who you are, waited for now.
So you can see to the past and predict what is to come.
And day after day, the world turns again and again
And we still grasp for things we can’t comprehend.
There is something magical and beautiful of your mind.
There are thing that can only be described as the divine.
This beautiful, complicated world as we know it now,
Is infinitely more full and more wonderful than anything,
Yes, anything, we can ever try to even imagine.
And isn’t that, in itself, simply amazing?
