When I like someone, it's usually a "like" born out of the most concrete evidence anyone could make...but sometimes it's not.
Like, let's say, I liked someone because his warmth was the one thing that could calm me down after some shit event in my life or some normally shit thing in my life, and because he doesn't judge me even though he knows about all the fucked up shit in my life, and even about how fucked up I am on my own.
These things matter, right? they're solid. But someone once said a very wise thing: "you know what's the one wrong thing we all do when we fall in love? WE EXPECT. And it just ruins everything."
So, that boy could now be gone because I expected him to like me back, and I freaking miss the warmth and understanding of him. But that's not the point here.
I wish love made sense (for all of us). But it doesn't, and we should NEVER convince ourselves we know someone just because we love them. it CAN and WILL break your heart.
