"I don't date"

Ok, it just so happens to be a fact in my life that I don't date. I know gasps all around from those of you who read my poetry, or have had me complain about boys to you... If you have objections hold them to the end... as i divulge my reasons for not dating.

1. Ok we start off pretty simple, something that is a blocking figure for romances throughout history, and the world. My parents prohibit it. My father especially prohibits it. The punishments for this are utterly unspeakable, so I won't go into details. So that one's simple, I don't date because I'm not allowed to.

2. I don't know if this one has been blocked by rule one, but I just don't meet many guys my age interested in me, looking for a date... Therefore, I don't date due to lack of a partner. This one is also fair and simple. Some people are too shy to talk to me about this stuff, but it doesn't really matter because of rule 1.

3. I'm emotionally unstable. So what? right? I mean, it can be argued that ALL girls are emotionally unstable. Thing is, I'm VERY emotionally unstable. I'm hot and cold to the extreme. The littlest thing can make me the happiest girl in the world, or the saddest... it's kind of pathetic... seriously... In addition, I can VERY easily get bored with people. And for a guy looking for a relationship he doesn't want a girl who LOVES him one day, HATES him the next and then "just wants to be friends" the day after in a semi cyclical nature, with a bit of variation. This would make anyone's head spin. For the me I am the days I won't want a boyfriend/girlfriend, I don't date.

4. For the ones who would get hurt by my impulsiveness, or that fact that I'm "bored" of them, or know that the things I love about them sometimes make me sick, I don't date.

5. For the possibilities of hookups, which satisfies my need to experiment, calms my hormones, lets me experience new and different things and people. For this, I don't date.
